Field Trip on Friday

We will be going on our HealthWorks field trip on Friday. It is an all-day trip. We will leave first thing in the morning, so don’t be late! Students will need to pack their lunch on Friday. Pack a disposable lunch that we can throw away when we are done. We will be going to the museum and then to Potowatomi Park in South Bend for lunch and play. It is always a fun trip.

Food for America Day

at High School

The kids had a lot of fun and learned new things at the high school on Friday. High school students taught us about different farm animals like horses, rabbits, ducks, goats and even cats and dogs! Also, we learned about food that is grown in Indiana, like eggs, tomatoes and popcorn!

Spelling Test on Thursday this Week!

Thursday, May 23:
Family Picnic Day

This Thursday will be our annual Family Picnic Day. Everyone is invited to come have lunch with their student. If the weather is nice, everyone will be eating outside. Bring a beach towel or a blanket and enjoy lunch. We eat at 11:50 if you would like to join us!

Extinct Animal

The students all gave presentations to the class this past week about an extinct animal of their choice. The students collected facts on notecards and had to share those facts with the class. They also had to point out parts of their animal on a diagram on the smartboard. They all did a very good job. I’m proud of everyone!

Goodbye Butterflies!

We released our butterflies out into the wild on Thursday. From over 50 caterpillars, we only had 3 butterflies that successfully emerged 😦 But, nevertheless, we learned a lot about the life cycle of the butterfly. It was fun!
