Food for America Day at the High School
Today we visited the high school and learned about farming in Indiana. We learned about lots of different foods that are grown or made in Indiana. We also found out about many kinds of farm animals that are raised right here in our own state.
School in Session on Monday
We will have school on Monday, May 16. It is a snow make-up day.
Wednesday, May 25 will be the annual Family Picnic Day. Parents are invited to come join the kids for lunch. If the weather is nice, everyone can eat outside :)Friday, May 27 – Parents and Family are invited to our classroom for a special Poetry Read at 11:00. The students will be sharing poems they have written. The all-school talent show will be at 1:00 in the gym.
American Cancer Society School Walk-a-Thon
On Friday, May 20, our school will be having a Walk-a-Thon to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The students already have brought home a donation sheet to ask for sponsors. You may send the donation money in any time up until May 19. We will walk in the Walk-a-Thon on Friday, May 20.
Walk-a-Thon Theme: “Crazy Head”
For the Walk-a-Thon, our class has chosen to go with a “crazy head” theme. This means that next Friday for the Walk-a-Thon, the kids can wear any kind of hat or head-wear. They can have crazy hair. They can bring silly glasses, etc.
