Donuts with Dad on Thursday
Thursday, March 23 is the Donuts with Dad event at our school. Kids are invited to bring their Dad (or important male in their life) to join them that morning before school for free donuts and drinks. It will be from 7:30-8:15 Thursday, March 23.
Right now the students are working on turning their latest writing project into a video. The kids have been writing All-About books. Now they are taking their work and turning it into a short video with their voice reading the book. When they are all done, I will post links on our class website.

CogAt Testing Next Week for Select Students
A Cognitive Abilities (CogAT) assessment will soon be given to all kindergarten and selected second graders throughout the Wawasee Community Schools to be considered for high-ability services for the 2017-18 school year. The CogAT involves short multiple choice tests and it will be given in a group testing format. The CogAT is intended to provide general information about each student’s overall developed learning abilities. It is hoped the information will serve as one additional tool in meeting the varied needs of our high-ability students. No grades will be taken on the test but students will be encouraged to give their best effort to provide accurate information regarding their abilities. If you would like to opt your child out of this assessment, please contact our High Ability Coordinator, Lisa Ernsberger, firstname.lastname@example.org, as she can remove your child from the testing roster. Parents will be notified in writing if their child has been accepted to the high ability program by May.
