Minecraft Club

minecraft_logo

This year we have hosted a Minecraft Club for students in fifth grade.  The goal of this club is to give kids a chance to work together, using Minecraft, to create and build structures limited only by their creativity.

The students were allowed to work in “Creative” mode in Minecraft, which gave them the ability to pick almost any object in the Minecraft world to build with.  This is sort of like having any type of lego brick in the world to use, as many as you like!

At the links below you will be able to download the .zip files containing the worlds the students made in the club in 2014,  2015 and 2016.  Then those worlds can be opened up in Minecraft on PC.

Minecraft Club 2016

Syracuse Elementary School Gym project.  Working in two groups, 20 SES fifth-grade students worked to create a scale replica of our school’s gym.  They completed the gym and started work on the cafeteria and east side of the building, which they did not get a chance to complete.  Students who worked on this project:  Manuel C., Santiago R., Emma S., Ethan D., Jackson C., Kyla B., Isaac P., Brayden M., Audrey H., Allison S., Evan F., Mollie B., Joe H., Ryleigh C., Annie W., Garrett B., Jesus L., Drake B., Shay H., and Austin G.
